Activities & Recreation

Recreational and leisure activities, particularly those that promote social bonds and friendships, are essential to the quality of life of people with disabilities.

Several activities help develop socialization, the expression of feelings and staying healthier. They are most successful when adapted to each person's skills and abilities, considering them in a unique way.

Physical Activity

Exercise helps physical and mental development: swimming, dancing, exercise classes, bowling, horseback riding and team sports — fun and healthy.

Music Therapy

Music therapy improves physical and emotional health. From clapping or keeping rhythm to playing percussion instruments and feeling the vibrations.

Art Therapy

Art is a means to express feelings and emotions, especially when a person cannot or will not articulate them with words.

Nature Activities

Treasure hunts encourage people to find and identify things in nature: plants, insects, trees, birds and other wildlife.
